After everything I went through to study for this interview, they let me know that they are now looking for a very Senior Lead with over 10 years of experience leading larga infrastructure teams.

Four Key Lessons from the Experience:

My experience with Meta taught me the importance of staying adaptable and patient, qualities essential for anyone navigating this kind of issue. I'd like to emphasize that even though I was let down, the recruiter is keeping the outreach warm with a one on one interview when more Software Engineer L4/L5 roles open up.

  2. Reflect on Self-Perceived Weaknesses: The cancellation led me to a stark realization: I needed to improve in technical interviews and problem-solving. I haven't done algorithms or LeetCode problems in a few years and I realize now that it is a skill that needs lots of attention and practice at least weekly. Recognizing this was the first step toward growth and improvement.
